Area: Asian Restaurant - "Pacific Rim" | Architect: RTKL | Lamps: Chelsom | Description: The asian restaurant "Pacific Rim" features several layers of lighting design and architecture. A complex ceiling structure with indirect cove lighting forms the framework for the center seating area that features custom pendant lamps which provide private cosy spaces within the open center space. The window seating area is separated by decorative screens highlighted by graze lighting and custom floor lamps. Graze lighting on the backwall creates vertical illuminance that visually opens the space.

Area: Atrium | Architect: Tillberg Design | Chandelier: Chelsom | Description: The atrium features four huge custom made chandeliers developed in close collaboration of the lighting designer, the architect and the manufacturer. The main staircase chandelier is made out of thousands of crystals built by Chelsom. The three chandeliers in front of the main restaurant are made out of hundreds of mouth-blown glass tubes made by Preciosa. The lighting design of the atrium is completed with curved cove lighting, and backlit stone at the front of the reception.

Area: Library | Architect: Tillberg Design | Chandelier: Preciosa | Description: Shelf lighting and touch dimming floor reading lamps are the special features.

Area: Main Restaurant - "Compass Rose" | Architect: Tillberg Design | Chandelier: Preciosa | Description: The main restaurant "Compass Rose" is place of the most complex custom chandelier of the ship. Right above the captains table hundreds of mouth-blown glass drops and handcrafted glass plates create their own unique light atmosphere. The chandelier was developed in close collaboration in several steps including renderings, light simulations and mock-up testing. Two additional types of chandeliers in the side and back area making this restaurant to an unforgetable experience. The lighting design is completed by custom dividing screens highlighted with graze lighting, indirect cove lighting, custom wall lamps, sophisticated low glare downlights and finally a special mirror wall catching the surrounding light and opening the space.
