ASIAN RESTAURANT “PACIFIC RIM”
ARCHITECT: RTKL, LUMINAIRES: CHELSOM
A complex ceiling structure with indirect cove lighting forms the frame for the central seating area, which is equipped with customized pendant luminaires and offers cozy private spaces in the open central room.
The window seating area is separated by decorative screens, which are highlighted by grazing light and special floor lights. The grazing light on the back wall creates a vertical illuminance that visually opens up the room.
ATRIUM
ARCHITECT: TILLBERG DESIGN, CHANDELIERS: CHELSOM
The atrium has four large custom-made chandeliers, which were developed in close collaboration with the lighting designer, architect and manufacturer.
LIBRARY
ARCHITECT: TILLBERG DESIGN, CHANDELIERS: PRECIOSA
Shelf lighting and floor reading lights with touch dimmer are the special features.
MAIN RESTAURANT “COMPASS ROSE”
ARCHITECT: TILLBERG DESIGN, CHANDELIERS: PRECIOSA
The main restaurant, Compass Rose, is home to the most elaborate chandelier in the entire ship. Directly above the captain’s table, hundreds of hand-blown glass drops and handcrafted glass plates create a unique lighting atmosphere.
The chandelier was developed in close collaboration and in several steps, including renderings, light simulations and mock-up tests. Two additional types of chandeliers in the side and rear areas make a visit to this restaurant an unforgettable experience.
